"Higher education" Close a training center that engages in unlicensed educational activities

Abu Dhabi, October 15 / WAM / The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today the closure of a training center in one of the emirates of the country, referring those in charge of it to the Public Prosecution, and imposing legal fines on it for practicing unlicensed educational activities and other legal violations.

This came after the ministry’s oversight teams detected serious violations at the center. It was found that he practices unlicensed educational activities, receives students without obtaining the necessary approvals, promotes unaccredited educational programs, and unlicensed nursery activity, in addition to other violations monitored by the inspection team of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, related to public safety and employing unlicensed workers.

The Ministry of Higher Education indicated that the necessary measures were being taken against the center and those in charge of it, in cooperation with its partners in the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Ministry of Education, and the Department of Economic Development in the emirate.

According to the Ministry, financial fines were imposed on the center and it was closed until the required licenses were issued, and those in charge of it were referred to the Public Prosecution in the emirate, on charges of practicing an activity without a license, and advertising and promoting unaccredited educational programs, noting cooperation with the Communications Regulatory Authority and the Digital Government to block the accounts and websites that the center uses to promote its programs.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research stressed that these measures come within the framework of its keenness to protect students from any irresponsible practices, and to ensure that all existing educational and training institutions in the country are licensed and accredited by the competent authorities, in accordance with the best quality standards.

She referred to cooperation with the relevant local and federal authorities. To ensure the integration of oversight efforts, in the interest of community members, and supports the development of the performance of educational institutions in the country.

The Ministry confirmed that it will continue to monitor and track violators and impose relevant penalties, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations in the country, as part of its efforts to strengthen oversight mechanisms for higher education institutions and training centers in the country, noting that the proactive oversight system and governance frameworks that it permanently applies aim to protect students, ensure the quality of the outcomes of academic, vocational and training educational programs, and enhance community confidence in the system. National educational.

The Ministry called on parents and students to ensure that educational and training institutions are licensed, and that their academic programs are approved by the competent authorities, before registering in them, pointing to the possibility of communicating with customer service centers in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
