Planting hope in Lebanese artists

The Minister of Information received lawyer Dr. Paul Morcos met with artist Lillian Nimri in his office, where Nimri expressed her admiration for the initiatives launched by the minister to support the Lebanese artist and national drama.

Nimri said after the meeting: “I met Minister Morcos when we were honored at the Casino du Liban, and I wanted to praise his interest and initiatives towards the Lebanese artist and his needs. He instilled hope in us and I told him our demands.”

Nimri wished the minister every success in his efforts to ensure a better life for Lebanese artists, stressing that the Ministry of Information’s support for artists must include attention to artistic production, removing favoritism from all official circles, and providing fair opportunities for talent in cooperation with Lebanese youth.

She also expressed her hope that glory would return to Lebanon Television, and that artists would be able to return to working there as before, noting that all artists strive to present beautiful works that raise the national artistic level and reflect the culture and identity of Lebanon.

Nimri stressed that the meeting with Minister Morcos provided her with an opportunity to convey the real demands of the artists, and that the continuation of these initiatives will have a positive impact on the development of the artistic sector in Lebanon.
