Dubai, October 15, 2025 – Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism will host, on Monday, October 27, the “UAE-Africa Tourism Investment Summit” for the year 2025, which carries the slogan “Building Bridges for Sustainable Growth,” as part of the activities of the “Future of Hospitality World Summit – FHS World 2025”, which Organized by The Bench.
The summit, which will be held at the Madinat Jumeirah Hotel, aims to strengthen economic and tourism relations between the UAE and Africa and push them to more advanced and prosperous levels, chart new horizons for Emirati-African investments in various tourism sectors, consolidate the joint commitment to promoting sustainable tourism, develop infrastructure, deepen strategic investment partnerships between the two sides, and review promising tourism investment opportunities on the continent. Africa, as well as highlighting the UAE’s role as a major economic and investment partner in developing the African tourism sector.
His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, is attending the summit, which is witnessing a wide participation of more than 350 people, including leaders, senior government officials, ministers and decision-makers, as well as investors and entrepreneurs from the Emirates and 53 African countries, which constitutes an important dialogue platform for exchanging experiences and best practices and enhancing opportunities for future partnerships in various tourism sectors.
The summit represents an extension of the UAE’s pioneering role in shaping the future of global tourism, by adopting innovative solutions in financing and investment and promoting the principles of sustainability and tourism diversity, reflecting the country’s model of balancing economic development, environmental protection and cultural identity.
The UAE-Africa Tourism Investment Summit focuses on a group of vital areas that embody the common tourism development priorities between the two sides, including investment in tourism-based projects, including financing, infrastructure, hospitality, innovative tourism services, and sustainable tourism.
The summit will witness the organization of six discussion sessions revolving around a group of vital tourism topics, including opportunities for growth and tourism cooperation between the UAE and the African continent at the level of the government and private sectors, the importance of tourism as a main driver for enhancing the growth of African economies, how to enhance investments in tourism infrastructure to accelerate the process of sustainable economic and social development, global financing opportunities in the hospitality and tourism services sector, and the pivotal role of the private sector in shaping… The future of African tourism.
The summit sessions will shed light on how to integrate digital solutions, financial technologies and logistical connectivity to facilitate travel across the African continent, make tourism more sustainable and effective, while improving the visitor experience and promoting economic development, and the importance of localizing innovation and advanced digital solutions in developing destinations and tourist attractions.
On the sidelines of the event, a high-level ministerial round table will be held in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, and with the participation of more than 20 ministers from African countries, to discuss ways to enhance tourism as a major driver of economic growth and sustainable development in Africa.
The round table highlights the pioneering UAE model in the tourism sector, which has proven the ability of tourism to attract global investments and diversify the national economy.
Today, Africa is one of the most growing tourism markets in the world. Its hospitality sector is expanding at a rate of more than 13% annually, and attracts more than 74 million international visitors, making it a promising destination for Emirati partnerships and investments.
