Jordan confirms at the Islamic Labor Ministers Conference its support for Palestine’s membership in the International Labor Organization

The Jordanian Minister of Labor, Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkar, said that Jordan adopts and supports ways that guarantee the State of Palestine full membership in the International Labor Organization.
Al-Bakkar, in his speech during the sixth session of the Islamic Conference of Labor Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held over two days in the Qatari capital, Doha, affirmed Jordan’s keenness to support the Palestinian cause and support the steadfastness of the Palestinian brothers, noting that the directives of King Abdullah II of Jordan to the government By placing all capabilities to serve our brothers in Palestine and supporting efforts that would alleviate the suffering of Palestinian workers.
He pointed out that Jordan has come a long way in the field of social protection and working to develop legislation governing the organization of the labor market to reduce the rise in unemployment numbers and to increase youth employment opportunities and the economic participation of women and people with disabilities, pointing out that Jordan has made an effort
