A high-ranking official in the Cuban Foreign Ministry said in statements to the newspaper: "Granma Alejandro Garcia" Official: "A meeting took place between a Cuban delegation and an American delegation here in Cuba recently"

These statements come in light of the tension in relations between the United States and the Cuban government.
The American administration has imposed an oil blockade on Cuba since January, and President Donald Trump has threatened to seize the island.
