Cuba reveals talks that took place in Havana with American officials

Revealed Cuba about talks that took place recently in Havana with American officials, in light of escalating tensions with The United States.

A high-ranking official in the Cuban Foreign Ministry said in statements to the newspaper: "Granma Alejandro Garcia" Official: "A meeting took place between a Cuban delegation and an American delegation here in Cuba recently"

These statements come in light of the tension in relations between the United States and the Cuban government.
The American administration has imposed an oil blockade on Cuba since January, and President Donald Trump has threatened to seize the island.

Economic and energy crisis

Cuba, with a population of 9.6 million people, is witnessing a stifling economic and energy crisis, the severity of which has worsened since the ouster of the president. Venezuelan Nicolas Maduro in a US military operation in January, and Caracas suddenly stopped supplying fuel to Havana.
