Insert Director Saud Al-Sharif released his new short film “Thaer”, in an event that witnessed the presence of a number of those interested in artistic and media affairs, as the film presents a dramatic human vision that touches on the reality of young people and their ambitions in the face of Social and economic challenges.
The story of the film
The film – which includes a team of 19 people with the participation of four actors – tells the story of the young man Sayer, who lives a humble life and seeks to change his reality and raise his social status, before his life intersects with Laila, the daughter of a wealthy merchant, who gives him hope for a new beginning. However, events take an escalating dramatic turn that reveals the fragility of reality. And the difficulty of balancing dreams and societal restrictions.

Director Saud Al-Sharif explained to"today" The film aims to raise profound human questions about the meaning of ambition in the face of Life challenges, he said: "At Thaer, we were keen to present a short work that oozes honesty and reflects the human journey in his search for himself between ambition and reality. The work is the result of the cooperation of a passionate team that came together to believe in cinema as a tool for expression and positive influence"
Al-Sharif indicated that the work team plans to participate with the film in a number of local and regional festivals, in an effort to convey its humanitarian message and shed light on social issues through modern cinematic treatment.
