The Minister of Health meets his Bahraini counterpart to enhance health cooperation and exchange experiences

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, met with his counterpart in the State of Bahrain, Dr. Jalila bint Jawad, and her accompanying delegation, to enhance cooperation in the health sector between the two countries, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean, held in Cairo from October 15 to 17, 2025.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar explained, The official spokesman for the ministry said that the minister reviewed the success of the Egyptian experience in the file of cancerous tumors, stressing Egypt’s keenness to share these achievements with sister countries, especially the state of Bahrain, which is considered one of the leading countries in providing comprehensive and integrated health care systems.
The official spokesman said that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar invited Dr. Jalila bint Jawad to attend the third edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development, scheduled to be held during the period from 10 Until November 13, 2025.
He added that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar directed that the necessary measures be taken in response to the desire of Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad to visit Hospitals 57357 and Baheya, to learn about the workflow in the Egyptian health system, and the mechanisms of plans and protocols for therapeutic care followed, in a way that enhances the exchange of experiences and skills between the two sides and enriches joint cooperation.
He attended the meeting. Dr. Mohammed Hassani, Assistant Minister for Public Health Affairs and Initiatives, and Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt.
