"Economy and tourism" Signing 5 memorandums of understanding to enhance the digital connectivity of the platform "growth"

DUBAI, 17th October / WAM / The Ministry of Economy and Tourism signed 5 memorandums of understanding with the Ajman Transport Authority, the Fujairah Municipality, the Emirates Islamic Bank, the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and the Emirates NBD, with the aim of enhancing the digital connectivity of the National Economic Registry platform “Nomu” and expanding the base of the registry’s partners, through the exchange of data and information and electronic connectivity, on the sidelines of the Ministry’s participation in the “GITEX Global” exhibition. 2025″.
The five memorandums were signed by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, His Excellency Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry, and His Excellency Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Entrepreneurship and Economic Affairs Sector in the Ministry, while they were signed by the partner entities, His Excellency Omar Mohammed Lootah, Director General of the Ajman Transport Authority; His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Saif Al-Afkham, Director General of Fujairah Municipality; Mohammed Al Hadi, Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates Islamic Bank; Mohammed Al Fahim, Acting Head of Banking at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Group; Marwan Mahmoud Hadi, Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates NBD Group.
These memorandums contribute to developing the digital system of the National Economic Register “Nomu” and enhancing the exchange of information about companies and economic licenses in the country, through electronic connectivity, supporting the capabilities of the digital infrastructure necessary to receive and process data efficiently, and improving the reliability of the data contained in the register, which contributes to facilitating the provision of accurate and up-to-date information about economic licenses, and providing comprehensive analytical reports on economic activities and their development, in a way that supports business operations. Planning and decision-making at the strategic and operational levels, which contributes to achieving national goals in the field of providing information and supporting data to decision-makers in the country.
The signing of these memorandums comes in light of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism’s keenness to continue its efforts to develop the “National Economic Register” platform, “Nomu”, and to enhance cooperation with its partners from the federal and local authorities and the private sector, and to provide a reliable and comprehensive economic database for the business sector, including decision makers, businessmen, investors, entrepreneurs, research and study centres, think tanks and the media, in a way that contributes to strengthening the state’s vision of transitioning towards an economy. The new, digital, and eliminating government bureaucracy, and is in line with the “We Are the Emirates 2031” vision, for the country to become the most pioneering and superior system and provide the best government services in the world by the next decade.
The areas of cooperation in the five signed memorandums of understanding included providing technical and technical support in light of joint coordination, and exchanging experiences and best practices in joint areas of work, in a way that supports the country’s global competitiveness and the provision of proactive services, and enhances commitment to the methodologies and standards adopted at the level of the seven emirates of the country.
The “Nomu” platform provides the service of inquiring about data and information for any commercial license in the country within more than 2,000 economic activities at the level of the seven emirates, and the service of reviewing the investment opportunities available in various economic sectors in the country. It also includes the national identity for the Unified Economic Number (ERN).
