Hamas: We will remain present on the ground and we want a truce of three to five years

 Mohamed Nazzal, a leader in Hamas, stated that the movement is ready for a truce ranging from 3 to 5 years to rebuild Gaza.

 

He added to Reuters that the movement’s presence in the region is “necessary to protect humanitarian aid shipments from thieves and armed gangs.”

When asked Regarding this matter again, he replied: “This is not preparation for renewed fighting.” Nazzal said, “I cannot answer yes or no to whether Hamas will give up weapons.”

 

 

Nazzal continued: “The issue of weapons is a general national issue and is not related to Hamas only, as there are other factions active on the ground with them.” Weapon.
