As one of the most famous international actresses, Jennifer Aniston paid the price for this stardom greatly, and despite her silence over the past years, she was fed up and could no longer bear everything that was said about her, and about her refusal to have children, or even adopt them. The accusation of selfishness was directed against her that she preferred her professional career to having a child from her first husband, the star Brad Pitt, or even from the actor Justin Theroux, or from Therapist and self-development specialist Jim Curtis, who she is currently in a relationship with.

Aniston opened her heart, during her appearance on the “The Armchair Expert” podcast, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, and explained that she rejects the idea of ​​​​adoption, even though everyone tells her that she can do so, and she said: “When people say: (But you can adopt), I answer them that I do not want to adopt. I want to have a child with my own genes. This is the only way, whether some consider it selfish or not, this is what I wanted.”

She added that her body was responsible for the decision not to become a mother, and that she came to terms with the matter and began to feel inner peace. Because it was completely out of her control, and there was nothing she could do about it.

The American star continued: “This was not part of the plan, whatever that plan was. “It’s very emotional, especially in the moment when you’re told, ‘It’s over,’ because there’s a strange feeling that accompanies that moment.”

It is noteworthy that Aniston had previously, several years ago, pointed out the same matter that had worried her throughout her life, especially with the increase in talk and expectations about whether or not she would have a child. She stated, in an interview published in 2022, saying: “I was trying to get pregnant. But the path to having children was difficult for me.”

With the increase in conversations about the heroine of the series “The Morning Show,” and the growing accusations that she is selfish and that she refuses to have children in order to preserve her career, especially after her divorce from Brad Pitt, Jennifer revealed in an interview, which she conducted in early October 2025, that she has always suffered and tried to have children and start a full family, but she does not go out in public to talk about the matter.

“They didn’t know my story, or what I had been going through for the past 20 years trying to start a family, because I don’t go out in public to talk about my health problems,” Jennifer said. “It’s nobody’s business.”

She added that she is no longer able to ignore these rumors, and that it is time to put an end to them, stressing that she is not selfish, and does not prefer her work to starting a family, and stressing that these rumors affect her greatly, as she is a human being above all else.
