The Khorfakkan Bicycle Pull Challenge begins on October 25

Sharjah, October 18 / WAM / On October 25, the Sharjah Sports Council will organize the fifth edition of the “Khor Fakkan Bicycle Pull Challenge” in its new form, coinciding with Arab Bicycle Day.

The race will be held over two distances, the first 27 km from in front of the Khor Fakkan Waterfall to the rest stop, and the second over a distance of 24 km. The start will be in front of the waterfall and the end at the same point, in addition to a special race for the disabled in wheelchairs.

The 27 km race for men starts at 6:30 in the morning, followed five minutes by the start of the women’s race, while the 24 km race for men and women starts at the same time at 6:40, while the crowning of the winners begins at 8:30.

Bakhit Saeed Al-Qars, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department at the Council, stressed the importance of the event, which enjoys large participation from athletes and cyclists, and which has become one of the distinguished annual events in the city of Khor Fakkan, noting that the race tests the skills of speed and endurance together and produces champions with a high level of competence and strength.
