This procedure represents the second year of implementing the new mechanism that replaced the traditional annual transfer movement, thereby establishing standards more closely related to the professional competence and self-development of the teacher.

Comparison between transfer applicants

The new system relies on careful comparison between applicants by calculating a total of points reaching a maximum of 220 points, which gives the transfer process greater transparency and objectivity.

The Ministry explained that the largest share of these points was allocated to professional performance indicators, as the points for the professional license in its general and specialized educational parts constitute a total of 60 points, which reflects the paramount importance that The Ministry assumed the specialized competence of The teacher.

In addition, the average job performance for the last two academic years is of great importance in the comparison, as it was allocated 30 points, while the professional development that the teacher received during the year preceding the application received 25 points. Years of service play a role in calculating points at a rate of one point for each year, with a maximum of 25 points for teachers and 30 points for supervisory and school formations.

Deducting and adding points

The new mechanism did not ignore other influential aspects, as a point is deducted for each day of unexcused absence during the last academic year, and additional points are given based on the educational rank occupied by the applicant, as the expert teacher gets 8 full points.

The system encourages community participation by allocating 20 points for registered volunteer work hours, one point for each hour.

/>The Ministry has specified a clear mechanism to break the tie in the event that two or more applicants are equal in their total points, whereby the highest score in the specialty test for the professional license is resorted to first, then the general educational test, followed by the average job performance, then the number of fewer days of absence, and finally the earliest start date at the Ministry of Education.

This integrated system aims to achieve professional and family stability. For male and female teachers, while ensuring the distribution of educational competencies in a way that serves the interest of the educational process throughout the Kingdom.
