A Russian initiative to establish a transnational media center for Asian and African countries

Today, participants in the twelfth conference of the Asian and African Peoples’ Solidarity Organization, which was held in Cairo, under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, agreed on the necessity of restoring the organization’s working formula and resuming its previous activity.
A statement issued by the Russian Embassy in Cairo stated that it was emphasized that ideas of solidarity could form the ideological and political basis for further rapprochement between Russia and developing countries, including in formats such as "BRICS" And the countries of the collective South, the countries of the Collective East, and the “Group of 77”.
The participants expressed their belief that the solidarity movement with the countries of Asia and Africa could play an important role in building a new political and economic system.
