The Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, holds two awareness lectures on hidden addictions

Within the Presidential Initiative for Human Development “A New Beginning for Human Building,” and within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to enhance psychological and behavioral awareness among young people, the Office implemented “The Art of Life Management” The Central Administration for Minister’s Office Affairs at the Ministry of Youth and Sports held two awareness lectures entitled “Hidden Addictions” And “Preventing hidden addictions”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education through the Central Administration for Technical Education and Student Affairs.

 

The two lectures targeted more than 500 male and female students from a number of universities and higher institutes, including: The Higher Institute of Administrative Sciences in Tamoua, University of Technological Delta in Menoufia, the Higher Institute for Administrative Sciences in Belbeis, the Higher Institute for Administrative Sciences in Katameya, New Cairo University of Technology, the Higher Institute for Social Service in Benha, the Higher Institute for Marketing and Trade in the First Settlement, the Nile Higher Institute for Commercial Sciences in Mansoura, the Higher Institute for Advanced Studies in El-Haram, the Higher Institute for Advanced Studies in Katameya, the Institute Higher Institute of Social Service in Cairo, and the Institute of Management and Secretariat in Old Cairo.

 

The two lectures came within the plan of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to spread psychological and social awareness among young people and students, and provide cognitive and applied support to help them discover patterns of non-traditional addictions such as Internet addiction, electronic games, relationships, shopping, and other hidden behaviors, and provide them with With prevention skills and safe dealing with life stresses.

 

The Ministry of Youth and Sports confirmed that these activities come within the framework of the national strategy for building the Egyptian human being, and in implementation of the directives of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, to intensify psychological and behavioral awareness programs, in cooperation with the relevant state institutions, to build a conscious generation capable of facing the challenges of the era, and achieving Objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
