The King of Jordan calls for joint action to ensure that all parties adhere to the Gaza Agreement

The King of Jordan, King Abdullah II, called on the countries of the Middle East and Southern Europe to work jointly in coordination with the United States and partners. To ensure the commitment of all parties to the agreement to end the war in Gaza in all its stages, which paves the way for achieving stability in the region.

The King of Jordan stressed – during his participation in the work of the “Med 9” Summit of Southern European Countries: In the Slovenian city of Portoroz, in the presence of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II – the pivotal role of the European Union in implementing the agreement, including supporting the efforts of the Palestinian National Authority in a way that serves the interests of the Palestinian people.

He stressed the importance of working at the same time to strengthen the humanitarian response in Gaza and ensuring the arrival of aid in sufficient quantities, to limit the catastrophic consequences of the war, referring to the two-state solution conference held in New York, jointly organized by Saudi Arabia and France, calling for building on the outcomes of the conference, and recognizing the Palestinian state by many countries.

He explained the necessity of calming the situation in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinians on their land, warning of the danger of unilateral measures, noting that the ongoing challenges facing the Middle East and Southern Europe require continued cooperation and coordination, pointing out that the “Med 9” summit An example of efforts to enhance dialogue and raise the level of coordination to address common challenges.

The “Med 9” summit is held With the participation of leaders of southern European countries and leaders and representatives of the European Union, which includes the countries of Slovenia, Cyprus, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, and Croatia, which are the nine European countries that overlook the Mediterranean Sea.
