The UAE welcomes the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan and praises the Qatari and Turkish mediation efforts

The UAE welcomed the agreement on an immediate ceasefire between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Afghanistan, and the establishment of mechanisms concerned with consolidating peace and stability between the two countries.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the diplomatic efforts and tireless efforts made by the sisterly State of Qatar and the friendly Republic of Turkey in creating the atmosphere for constructive dialogue and facilitating understanding between the two sides, stressing the UAE’s support for everything that would enhance security and stability in the region, and achieve the aspirations of the peoples of Pakistan and Afghanistan for peace and development.
