Whispers of heritage mix with the pulse of the present at the Arab Music Festival
On a night of creativity that celebrates the beautiful time and evokes the fragrance of authenticity, the activities of the thirty-third session of the Arab Music Festival and Conference continued, which this year bears the name of the planet of the East, Umm Kulthum, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of her passing, and is organized by the Ministry of Culture through the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, and directed by Maestro Tamer Ghoneim and his deputy, Dr. Mohamed Al-Mogy, under the supervision of Amani Al-Saeed, chief advisor. Egyptian Opera.
On the Nafoura Theater, in the midst of a large audience, the whispers of heritage mixed with the pulse of the present in an evening that carried among its notes a spectrum of memories, as the great star Mohamed Al-Helou rose to embrace with his warm voice the sentiments of the audience, accompanied by the maestro Dr. Mohamed. Al-Moji.
Al-Helou presented a bouquet of his works that shaped the conscience of an entire generation, so he sang immortal songs such as Zizinia, Al-Wusiya, Layali Al-Helmeya, Arraf, Oh my love, I am longing, and No, it is not me who is crying, so that stories from the era of high art were embodied on the stage.
Then, The star, Reham Abdel Hakim, appeared to spin a braid of rapture with the threads of her voice, combining the decorations of the past with the brilliance of contemporary times. With her sweet voice, she oscillated between the sweet songs of my country, the love that was, it looks good, if it weren’t for the blame, your eyes are summer nights, far from you, henna, Solomon’s ring, the sweetest gift, our nights, on your voice, my life is with you.
