المملكة: “Education Evaluation” requires institutional accreditation to approve international accreditations – urgent

Introduced Evaluation of Education and Training A new controls project aimed at enhancing the quality of training programs and regulating the mechanism for establishments to obtain program accreditation from international bodies, by presenting the project on the “Reconnaissance” platform.

The Authority explained that these controls mainly aim to contribute to raising the efficiency of training outcomes and aligning them with international standards, in a way that supports the Authority’s strategy to improve the quality of the sector in The Kingdom.

Under the proposed regulation, the Authority’s competent center will study the requests of training facilities and verify that they meet the specified standards, review the submitted documents, and study the final reports issued by international accreditation bodies.

The most prominent condition in the proposed controls is the obligation of the training facility wishing to obtain accreditation. International, by having a valid “institutional accreditation” of Education and Training Evaluation Commission First, in addition to the target program meeting the requirements of the National Qualifications Framework.

Article Nine stressed that the international accreditation body, chosen by the facility, must be licensed and accredited by the Commission, in order to ensure the quality of accreditation processes and their official recognition within the Kingdom.

Article Five specified a period of six months. For the facility that has obtained the Centre’s approval, to contract with the international accreditation body, and if the period expires without completing the contract, the facility must submit a new application.

Article Six obligates the establishments to provide the Center with a set of documents immediately upon contracting, including the contract notice, the schedule of field visits, and the final report issued by the international body.

And to ensure Quality of procedures. Article Seven gave the Center the right to assign specialized consultants to attend field visits carried out by international accreditation bodies to verify the facilities’ compliance with the required standards.

Article Eight stipulated that the proof submitted to the Center should be “” and its duration, and not just a certificate of recognition, equivalence, or other forms of formal approval.

With regard to advertisements, Article 10 prohibits establishments from including in their advertisements any marketing or advertising connotations for international accreditation bodies, with the obligation to clearly state the name of the program, its duration, its type, and the name of the issuing body.
