North Macedonia participates for the first time in "World Food Week" In Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 22nd October / WAM / The Republic of North Macedonia is participating for the first time in the “World Food Week”, which is held at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, and is offering a unique food experience that reflects its rich heritage in this field, in a move aimed at introducing the UAE market to the traditional taste of Balkan products and attracting consumers searching for authenticity and distinction.

Kristi Gjorgiev, CEO of Best Food Gjorgiev Dairy, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that Macedonia is distinguished by a long heritage in the manufacture of traditional foods that gives each product a unique and authentic flavour, noting that the sunshine that the country abounds in adds exceptional quality to these products.

He added that the aim of the participation is to search for local distributors and importers in the Emirates to provide these flavors according to authentic recipes, and to provide an exceptional experience for the Emirati consumer, with a focus on unique products such as mixed cheese from cow and sheep’s milk.

Within the pavilion of the Republic of North Macedonia, Altera Food showcased its products of vegetables and fruits grown in a region that enjoys climatic conditions of about 300 sunny days annually, which reflect the traditional taste of Macedonia, and include appetizers, pickled vegetables, and low-sugar fruit jams.

The Macedonian company “KIM Food Industry”, which was founded in 1999, also displayed a wide range of food products and canned goods, while the “VORI Jordanka DOOEL” company, which was founded in 1991 in the city of Gevgelija, is distinguished by using natural and local ingredients, with a focus on quality and traditional flavor that reflects the authenticity and distinction of Macedonian products.
