The Arab League chooses the Arab Housing Day project for the year 2026
Today, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the “90” meeting was held. To the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Housing and Construction Ministers at the ministerial level, starting today and over the course of two days, in which the following Executive Office member states participated: Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Qatar, the Moon, Syria, Morocco.
The meeting discussed a number of important topics on its agenda; Including the latest developments regarding the Sixth Arab Ministerial Forum for Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, under the slogan “Urban Sustainability… for the Future of Generations.” It is scheduled to be held during the period from 14 to 16 December next, in the Qatari capital, Doha, and to choose the theme and slogan of Arab Housing Day for the year 2026, as well as cooperation with UN-Habitat.
He presented the latest results issued by the work of its second resumed session, which was held on May 29-30 last, as well as the progress made in following up on the implementation of the plan. Global Sustainable Development 2030 and the Executive Plan for the Arab Strategy for Housing and Urban Development in terms of the support provided by UN-Habitat to the Arab countries in preparing their national reports, as well as developing the regional report on the progress achieved in the Arab Strategy for Housing and Sustainable Urban Development and the New Urban Agenda. The meeting also addresses technical support for the housing sector in Somalia, Yemen, and the State of Palestine.
