The Ministry adopted Amendments to the schedules of violations and penalties for hospitality and private tourist hospitality facilities, tourism activities and management of hospitality facilities, tourism guidance and experiential activities in , as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance compliance with laws and regulations, and improve the quality of services provided to tourists and visitors in various tourist destinations in the cities and regions of the Kingdom.

The new amendments came within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the efficiency of the regulatory system, and raise the quality of services provided by setting penalties according to precise criteria that include the geographical scope and size of the establishment, in a way that ensures The application is fair and the penalty is proportionate to the size of the establishment and the nature of the violation, in a step aimed at supporting small and medium enterprises and ensuring their compliance with the tourism system.

Serious Violations

The amendments included adding a special classification for serious violations, to ensure fair and strict dealing with violations affecting the tourism sector.

In addition to applying the warning principle for non-serious violations and giving a corrective period to address the violation, in A step aimed at providing an opportunity to correct course before imposing the prescribed penalty, which contributes to improving the quality of services provided, achieving approved safety standards, and ensuring the rights of tourists and visitors.
