المملكة: “Environment” launches the “Cyber” platform and an exhibition to enhance awareness of cybersecurity
Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Mansour Al-Mushaiti, inaugurated the awareness exhibition Safe practices enhance responsibility and digital protection.
The exhibition also seeks to raise the level of cybersecurity culture among various Segments of society, in an effort to reach a safe and reliable cyberspace that supports growth and prosperity, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Introduction to cyberattacks and how to deal with them
The exhibition provides its visitors with an integrated experience across six basic pillars, as the cyberattacks and defense corner presents scenarios for how to deal with threats. While the General Department of Cybersecurity Services Corner displays technologies that enhance the protection of digital assets and ensure safe access to systems.
A miniature model of the “Unified Operations Center (C-SOC)” is highlighted in the exhibition, which demonstrates the mechanism of continuous monitoring of the system’s security situation, and ensuring the management of cyber incidents with high effectiveness, including detection, analysis, and response.
To keep pace with modern risks, a corner was dedicated to “Smart Home Security” to raise awareness of the dangers of artificial intelligence and connected devices such as cameras and Wi-Fi.
The “Secret Office” corner also presents a model of a mechanism for safely dealing with confidential documents in accordance with the Governance Guide, in addition to a corner for interactive games to consolidate concepts in an attractive way.
These activities fall within the framework of participation in The Ministry is part of the national cybersecurity awareness campaign, as a culmination of the continuous efforts made by the Ministry’s General Department of Cybersecurity, and an affirmation of the commitment to raising the level of awareness for all employees of the system.
