"Emirates Global Aluminium" It strengthens its operations in America with a quality laboratory and expansion that raises production to 165 thousand tons

Abu Dhabi, October 24 / WAM / Emirates Global Aluminum Company announced the launch of a metal testing laboratory within its Spectro Alloys aluminum recycling plant expansion project in Minnesota, United States.
The laboratory conducts mechanical inspections and tests on the final products made from the company’s metal to ensure that customers receive the highest quality recycled aluminum with the exact specifications required.
The laboratory will provide the ability to examine samples of customers’ cast or extruded products to assist in troubleshooting and improving the quality of final products. The laboratory will also provide enhanced and rapid analysis services to customers.
The recycling plant expansion project contributes to increasing secondary aluminum production by 55 thousand tons in its first phase, and it is expected to reach full production capacity by the first quarter of 2026. The project also raises the total production capacity of the Emirates Aluminum Company’s Spectro Alloys factory to 165 thousand tons annually of recycled aluminum ingots and cylinders.
Abdul Nasser Bin Kalban, CEO of Emirates Global Aluminium, said that the new laboratory contributes to enhancing Spectro Alloys’ capabilities to meet the highest quality standards and support customers in developing their products. With the increasing global demand for low-carbon aluminum, the company is keen to provide the metal with the quality and reliability that customers expect.
Demand for recycled aluminum in the United States is expected to reach 7.6 million tons annually by 2033, according to CRU, an independent organization specializing in corporate research and data, and the United States is the second largest market for recycled aluminum in the world.
