"The deal" 2025 concludes its work with investment pledges exceeding 4 million dirhams for 9 startup companies

Sharjah, October 24 / WAM / 9 startup companies succeeded in attracting investment pledges with a total value of more than 4 million dirhams, at the conclusion of the activities of the second edition of the “Deal” initiative specialized in supporting entrepreneurship.
The initiative concluded yesterday in the presence of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, as part of the activities of the second day of the Sharjah Investment Forum and the World Investment Conference 2025.
The initiative was organized by the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, in strategic cooperation with the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), the Sharjah Foreign Investment Office (Invest in Sharjah), the American University of Sharjah, and the University of Sharjah, with the aim of connecting innovative founders with investors and business leaders.
The initiative, which expanded this year to include projects led by students and faculty members, witnessed presentations of startup companies to an elite group of investors and business leaders, including Abdullah Abu Sheikh, founder of “Abu Sheikh,” Mishal Kanoo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kanoo Group, Mohammed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, Mohammed Khudairi, CEO of the Bank of Sharjah, and Sherif Bishara, CEO of the Mohammed Group. Obaid Al Mulla and the American Hospital Dubai.
His Excellency Hussein Al Mahmoudi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, confirmed that the “deal” has developed into a unique platform that transforms scientific research into sustainable commercial projects, noting that the Sharjah model of cooperation is making a real impact.
His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh, Executive Director of the Invest in Sharjah Office, stressed that the initiative embodies the emirate’s vision of transforming innovation into a productive investment that links knowledge with capital, and reflects the integration between the academic and economic sectors.
Her Excellency Sarah Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Sheraa Center, said that the initiative reflects Sharjah’s renewed vision, where ideas generated in classrooms and research laboratories are transformed into viable projects that attract investment, which enhances Sharjah’s position as a thriving regional center for innovation.
