Rome.. The Minister of Commerce discusses strengthening the Saudi-Italian economic partnership

Conclude Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Competitiveness Centerand the accompanying delegation made a two-day working visit to the Italian capital, Rome. With the aim of enhancing the level of economic partnership between the two friendly countries, in addition to participating in the work of the Saudi-Italian Business Forum, which was attended by 200 leaders from the government and private sectors in the two countries.
The Minister held ministerial meetings in which His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Italy participated.
They included a review of the promising opportunities created by the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, And stimulating Italian companies to expand their business in promising sectors, especially those related to tourism and hospitality, architecture and furniture, fashion design, luxury goods, wholesale and retail trade, e-commerce, luxury transportation and yachting.
Enhancing trade cooperation
Today, Al-Qasabi met with the Italian Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, and the Minister of Companies. And"Made in Italy" Adolfo Orso, to discuss enhancing trade cooperation and exploiting opportunities available to in the two countries, in addition to encouraging the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
He visited the main headquarters of (FENDI), where he met with the company’s senior executives, and was briefed on the business model of the company that operates in 35 countries around the world. The visit also included an introductory tour of the (Palace of Italian Civilization), which houses the company’s headquarters.
Saudi Business Accelerators Italian
The first day of the visit witnessed meetings with the Minister of Institutional Reforms and Simplification of Regulations, Elisabetta Casellati, the Deputy Minister of Companies and"Made in Italy" Valentino Valentini, and Chairman of the Italian-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Marco Osnato.
Al-Qasabi discussed cooperation in the field of enhancing the business environment, facilitating procedures, and benefiting from the Italian small and medium-sized companies model, in addition to discussing opportunities to launch joint Saudi-Italian business accelerators, and encouraging Italian companies specialized in the fields of e-commerce, to expand their business in the Kingdom.
