The launch of the Kalba Cultural Festival in its seventh edition

Kalba, October 24 / WAM / The seventh edition of the Kalba Cultural Festival, organized by the Department of Culture, Eastern Region Administration, began today, for two days, in the presence of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Kalba, and His Excellency Rashid Al Zaabi, Director of the Eastern Region Administration of the Department of Culture, and a number of directors and officials, at the Cultural Center in Kalba.
The opening ceremony included Al-Ayyala art performances by the Mubarak Al-Otaiba Folklore Band, and a display of the Glow of Culture paintings by Kalba schools, which are Wadi Al-Helu School for Basic Education, First Generation, the English School in Kalba, and the Zayed Educational Complex in Al-Saf, in addition to a poetry evening by the Kuwaiti poet Mubarak Al-Hujailan and zither music by the artist Maryam Al-Shalubi. It also included an exhibition of the department’s magazine issues, and photography by the photographer. Mubarak Mahboob, and fine art by artist Dr. Souad Al Shamsi and calligrapher Barot Othman Al Baroudi.
