Palestine signs the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime

The Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, signed the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, with the authorization of President Mahmoud Abbas, during the official ceremony hosted by the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, in the presence of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Luong Cuong, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, and a large number of heads of delegations and representatives of countries, And international organizations.
In this context, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Saadi Al-Tamizi, as reported by the Palestinian News Agency “Wafa” today, Saturday, expressed Palestine’s pride in participating in this prominent international event, praising the active role played by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in hosting and organizing this important international conference, which It constitutes a pioneering step towards strengthening international cooperation to combat cybercrime and preserve human dignity in the digital space.
Ambassador Al-Tamizi stressed that the Hanoi Agreement represents a “new” international charter to consolidate the values of justice, responsibility, and joint cooperation in our digital world, stressing that the country Palestine will continue its support for all international initiatives aimed at protecting people and promoting security, peace, and development in the digital age.
