Indian Police: 21 people killed in a fire in a New Delhi hotel

At least 21 people were killed in A fire broke out, on Wednesday morning, in a hotel in the Indian capital, according to New Delhi Police, without explaining his circumstances.

The police did not provide any details about the cause of the fire that destroyed the Flourish Stay Hotel, located in the south of the city with a population of 30 million people.
Many of the dead came from African countries, and were in India for medical purposes, according to what local media reported.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a post on the X platform, offered his condolences to the families of the victims, describing the fire as a "tragedy"
Frequent fires
India witnesses frequent fires, most of which are due to poor infrastructure and non-compliance with safety standards.
In March, at least ten patients were killed in a hospital in the city of Cuttack in eastern India as a result of a fire caused by an electrical fault.
