The horse "Fahd Al-Amin" Wins the President’s Cup title for Arabian horses in Egypt

Cairo, October 26 / WAM / The horse, Fahd Al-Amin, was crowned champion of the His Highness the President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses in its fifteenth stop of the current season, which was held yesterday at the Al-Jazira Sports Club track in Cairo, as part of the racing agenda of the thirty-second edition of the prestigious international racing series.

The prestigious Cup race series enjoys the support of the wise leadership as part of the efforts aimed at developing Arabian horse racing and sponsoring owners and breeders in various countries of the world, based on the UAE’s keenness to preserve the authenticity of the Arabian horse as an ancient national heritage.

The champion, “Fahd Al-Amin”, owned by owner and trainer Riyad Jalal Abu Hussein, and under the leadership of the jockey Abdul Maqsoud Shaaban, was able to win the title of the fifth (main) round of the precious cup festival, after covering the race distance of 1,600 meters in a time of 01:58:00 minutes. “Mnadel Saafan” came in second place, while “Glimmer of Hope” came in third.
In its fifteenth session, the festival witnessed the participation of 59 elite Egyptian horses, competing in 7 rounds under the supervision of the Supreme Authority for Horse Racing in Egypt. The results resulted in the victory of:
“Hamas” won the first half title (Mubadala Cup), “Al Moji” – Al-Ahram Stables won the second half title (Abu Dhabi Sports Council Cup), “Mard Akhenaten” won the third half title (Department of Culture and Tourism Cup – Abu Dhabi), “Dayma Amer” won the fourth half title (Al Masoud Cup), and “Maqbool Akhenaten” won the sixth half title (Al Dhafra Cup), And “Congratulations Saafan” won the seventh round title (Abu Dhabi Cup).
The festival was witnessed and the winners were crowned by Saeed Al Muhairi, representative of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the President’s Cup Races, Talal Al Azizi, representative of the UAE Embassy in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Felix Youssef, Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Horse Racing in Egypt.
His Excellency Matar Al-Yabhouni Al-Dhaheri, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the His Highness the President of the State Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, said: “We are pleased with the continued success of the precious Cup series and its extension to its fifteenth stop in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt. We value the distinguished organizational efforts and the prominent role of the Supreme Authority for Horse Racing in Egypt, and its keenness to involve an elite group of owners and breeders in this major event. The Egypt leg truly represents “A source of pride within our global racing series.”
He added: “We are proud of the close sports cooperation between the Emirates and Egypt, the large public attendance and the high competitive atmosphere witnessed at the precious cup festival in Cairo, and the great interaction of Egyptian horse owners confirms the prestigious status that the tournament enjoys in the region.”
