He said: "The Council of Senior ScholarsThe Permanent Committee for Fatwa undertakes a great mission in informing people about the matters of their religion, in compliance with the words of God Almighty: (So ask the people of the Remembrance if you do not know).

His Eminence praised what Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Sheikh did, throughout his work as the General Mufti and heading the Council of Senior Scholars until God took his death in guidance and protection, asking God Almighty May He forgive him, have mercy on him, and may he rest in the Gardens of Bliss.

For his part, His Excellency the Secretary General of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al Majid, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the faithful Crown Prince – may God protect them -, on the occasion of the issuance of the royal order appointing him as Secretary General of the Permanent Committee for Fatwa, General Supervisor of the Office of the General Mufti of the Kingdom, and General Supervisor of Affairs Administrative and financial in the General Presidency for Scholarly Research and Fatwa.

He stressed that the General Presidency for Scholarly Research and Fatwa will harness all its capabilities, so that the Council of Senior Scholars and the Permanent Committee for Fatwa carry out their legal role and religious mission with full competence and ability.
