Dibba eliminates Al-Wasl from the cup with “crazy kicks”.. and the Al-Hooti goalkeeper shines

The Dibba team qualified for the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup, after defeating Al-Wasl on penalties (6-5), in the match that was held at Dibba Stadium, today, Sunday, after the end of regular and extra time in a tie (2-2).
In the penalty shootout, Dibba goalkeeper Issa Al-Hooti excelled by stopping Al-Wasl player Tahnoon Al-Zaabi’s shot, while Saldana and Idrilson Silva’s shots went outside the goal.
On the other hand, Al-Wasl goalkeeper Mohammed Ali Al-Wali blocked shots from Dibba players Fahad Barot and Evans Mpofu.
In the details of the match, Al-Wasl’s goals were scored by Portuguese Sergio Pereira in the 39th minute, and Colombian Brian Palacios in the 112th minute, while Dibba’s goals were scored by Iraqi Muhannad Ali from a penalty kick in the 44th minute, and Habib Abdullah in the 116th minute.
The match witnessed the expulsion of Dibba player Abdullah Al-Mukhaini in the 49th minute, and Al-Wasl player Sergio Pereira in the 79th minute.
