Mohammed bin Rashid Library celebrates audio-visual heritage with a world-class artistic programme

Dubai, October 26 / WAM / The Mohammed bin Rashid Library celebrated the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, which falls on October 27 of each year, through an integrated artistic and cultural program that embodied the harmony of human creativity, emphasizing the role of the arts as a universal human language and a bridge for dialogue.

The celebration, which falls within the library’s fine arts and music programme, aims to consolidate the library’s position as a leading center for celebrating the world’s creative heritage.

The activities included a diverse artistic evening that began with a musical segment by accordion player Taimar Al-Bunni, during which she presented a mixture of classical pieces and free expressions inspired by heritage.

This was followed by an Indian heritage dance performance, in collaboration with the Therakan Institute of Folklore and Dance, which took the audience on a vibrant visual journey of rhythms and colors that embodied the aesthetics of physical expression and celebration of nature.

The program concluded with an evening of “Colors and Harmony: A Dialogue of the Arts”, presented by researcher and composer Peter Nehme, who combined live playing and visual performance in an interactive sensory experience that explored the deep relationship between music and abstract art.
