The first phase has already entered into operation, with an area of 235,000 square metres, and the second phase is scheduled to be launched during the third quarter of 2026.

In the first phase, the logistics zone in Sokhna will provide more than 150 job opportunities, with the number rising to more than 300 job opportunities with the operation of the second phase. The logistics zone is distinguished by its strategic location, 15 minutes from Sokhna Port, 30 minutes from Suez City, and 45 minutes from the New Administrative Capital, which gives it an exceptional ability to link and integrate operations, in addition to benefiting from tax and customs exemptions and facilitated commercial procedures. The logistics park has witnessed strong demand from investors, as several operational contracts have already been signed, and negotiations are underway with a large number of potential customers.

This achievement is the first integrated logistics complex in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, and it provides warehousing services in both the customs and non-customs systems (customs duties cleared), in addition to smart digital solutions that include a real-time view system for shipments, field customs procedures, and an integrated electronic platform for customer service. The logistics park supports key sectors such as raw materials, packaging, agricultural products, electronics, building materials, textiles, automobiles, spare parts, and electric vehicles.

On this occasion, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem stressed that DB World’s commitment to Egypt goes beyond the borders of the port to build a sustainable and integrated logistics system that covers the entire chain of commercial operations, from production lines to reaching the final consumer. He added: “Our goal is to achieve seamless integration across supply chains to enhance the flow of commercial traffic, support exports, create new job opportunities, and drive economic growth forward.”

On another level, DB World is following the final stages of an agreement with the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in Egypt to develop a public free zone extending over an area of 500 acres in the New Administrative Capital.

It is worth noting that since 2008, DB World has continued to consolidate its presence as a pivotal partner in the growth process of Egyptian trade, through investments exceeding 1.3 billion US dollars allocated to expanding the capacity, modernizing the port of Sokhna, and linking it to global supply chains. The group is proceeding with its projects aimed at strengthening Egypt’s position on the international trade map by developing a sustainable logistics system that provides integrated services including logistics, shipping and unloading, enabling customers to access smooth, safe and efficient supply chain solutions that reflect DB World’s ambitious vision towards making trade more interconnected and sustainable in the future.
