Nelly Karim raises controversy by talking about men.. What did she say?

Speaking to the On The Road program with journalist Bilal Al-Arabi, Nelly Karim said, “Men these days need vitamins that strengthen their masculinity hormone,” adding jokingly, “We can put this hormone in the Nile water for them.”
The statement sparked mixed reactions. Critics saw it as an unfair generalization and an implicit reference to Egyptian men specifically, while others defended her, stressing that her words were humorous, and that Nelly is known for being “Egyptian to the core.”
During the meeting, Nelly also spoke about her childhood, noting that she was upset that some people thought that her name was a nickname after the late artist Nelly. She revealed that she suffered from severe depression after portraying the heroine in the series Zat, considering that the role left a deep psychological impact on her. (Erm News)
