Mohammed bin Rashid meets guests "UAE-Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025"

Dubai, 28 October / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” affirmed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen its economic ties with the African continent, with all the great growth opportunities it brings and a wide scope for investment, especially in the tourism field, with its natural ingredients and great ambition to achieve sustainable tourism development, whose goals are consistent with the UAE’s vision for the future of the global tourism movement.
This came during his reception of the guests of the UAE-Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025, which was held in Dubai under the slogan “Building Bridges for Sustainable Growth,” with the participation of a number of tourism ministers, leaders of government bodies, and investors in the tourism sector from various countries of the African continent.
During the meeting that took place in Expo City Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum welcomed the guests of the summit in the UAE, stressing the importance of continuing to exchange visions and ideas in order to create more economic and development partnerships with African countries, and to consolidate the reasons for the development and prosperity of existing ones, especially in the tourism sector, which represents a basic pillar in supporting sustainable growth and cultural rapprochement between peoples.
His Highness praised the growing role of the African continent in shaping the future of the global economy, and the promising opportunities and potential it abounds, stressing that cooperation between the UAE and Africa in the areas of tourism investment represents a vital model of economic integration based on a common vision and mutual interests.
His Highness said: “Tourism is a major tributary of our national economy and a sector that carries with it unlimited opportunities for growth. The Emirati-African partnership awaits a prosperous future based on mutual trust and a shared belief in the value of cooperation in laying the foundations for a prosperous future.”
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on the most important topics discussed at the summit, which was attended by more than 350 leaders, senior government officials, ministers and decision-makers, as well as investors and entrepreneurs from the UAE and 53 African countries. The summit discussed ways to strengthen economic and tourism relations between the UAE and Africa and what can be done to reach broader areas of constructive cooperation, in a way that serves In charting new horizons for Emirati-African investments in various tourism sectors, and supporting the economic development ambitions of most countries on the continent.
During the meeting, which was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, the African Ministers of Tourism and Investment affirmed their appreciation for the pioneering model presented by the UAE as a leading destination that has been able to top the lists of distinguished tourist destinations globally. They expressed their appreciation for the comprehensive economic renaissance the country is witnessing and the prosperity achieved for its tourism sector in light of the large investments that the country has made to establish infrastructure. High-level tourism integrated with the country’s natural features to create an attractive and distinguished tourism system in accordance with the highest international standards.
They also expressed their hope that the next stage will witness more aspects of cooperation in order to strengthen the partnership between the UAE and the countries of the African continent, in a way that supports the tourism development plans of both sides, and contributes to discovering new paths to enhance mutual investments in this field.
