Project development "Kizad Center for Small and Medium Enterprises" With an investment of 112 million dirhams

ABU DHABI, 11 JUNE / WAM / Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kizad Group, one of the largest operators of integrated and specialized economic zones in the region, announced the development of the “Kizad Center for Small and Medium Enterprises” project.
The center will constitute an integrated platform dedicated to development and entrepreneurship, and it is the first project of its kind developed by the group to support small and medium-sized companies and enhance their ability to establish and expand within the emirate.
The new center, which is expected to be delivered before the end of this year, extends over an area of 25,260 square meters in the “Kizad-A” and “Kizad Al-Maamoura” areas, and was designed with a practical vision to bridge the gap between the early stages of establishing companies and the ambition to grow and expand, as it forms a bridge between business incubators and advanced industrial areas. The center aims primarily to enable emerging projects to move easily from the establishment stage to large-scale production and distribution within an integrated economic system.
The center’s strategic location enhances its ability to support businesses, as it is directly linked to Khalifa Port and the Etihad Rail network, while allowing access to more than 75% of cities and urban centers in the UAE within a short period of time not exceeding 90 minutes, which makes it an ideal launching pad for emerging companies and institutions and opens up broader horizons for growth and expansion.
The center, which is being developed with investments amounting to 112 million dirhams, provides an integrated and innovative model that brings together micro-industrial units and office suites within a unified system, enabling companies and small and medium enterprises to manage their daily operations more efficiently, as well as organizing logistics services and reducing operational costs. Moreover, the presence of companies within an integrated and homogeneous business community opens broader horizons for cooperation and the formation of partnerships through supplier networks and shared services.
The center includes 175 flexible and equipped industrial units, starting from 100 square metres. These units are supported by an integrated system that includes a specialized business center, in addition to the possibility of taking full advantage of the advanced infrastructure and business support services that Kizad provides in its economic zones.
It is noteworthy that small and medium enterprises constitute 94% of the total companies operating in the UAE, and contribute about 64% of the country’s non-oil gross domestic product.
As for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the sector represents approximately 98% of the total companies operating in the emirate, provides job opportunities for the equivalent of 46% of the workforce, and contributes about 43% of the emirate’s non-oil gross domestic product. In light of expectations that the number of small and medium-sized companies will reach one million by 2030, their development remains an essential pillar in the process of diversifying the emirate’s economy.
Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities and Free Zones, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, said that the growth of the small and medium enterprises sector represents a top priority for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and in line with the vision of the wise leadership, the group continues to work to consolidate Kizad’s position as an integrated regional center for entrepreneurship by developing an integrated business system that provides this sector with greater opportunities for growth.
He added that the Kizad Center for Small and Medium Enterprises constitutes a real launching pad, providing the elements that companies need to establish their presence and compete strongly in a highly competitive market, and investors in this sector will have exceptional opportunities to benefit from the comprehensive support provided by the integrated business systems in Kizad.
For his part, Mohammed Al Khader Al Ahmad, CEO of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kizad Group, said that the goal of the Kizad Center for Small and Medium Enterprises initiative is to establish an integrated entrepreneurship system that supports the growth of small and medium industries in Kizad.
He explained that the center will provide comprehensive support to emerging companies in their early stages, and will also give existing companies opportunities to expand and grow at competitive costs within an integrated industrial environment, which will contribute to bridging the gap between business incubators and the advanced industrial infrastructure necessary for growth and competition.
Small and medium enterprises are a fundamental pillar of the structure of the local economy of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and play an important role in driving industrial development and providing job opportunities.
In line with the vision of the wise leadership, Kizad Group continues to empower the sector by supporting small and medium-sized companies in the establishment stages, by providing a stimulating environment for growth that enhances the ability of emerging companies to expand and transform into leading industrial and economic entities.
As an extension of these efforts, the Kizad Group signed a memorandum of understanding with the Emirates Growth Fund to support the development of small and medium-sized companies in the country, through the integration of the industrial and logistical system provided by Kizad with the development capital and strategic support provided by the Fund.
The cooperation aims to enable companies with promising potential to access the resources, infrastructure and guidance necessary to expand their business and enhance their presence in regional and global markets.
