The launch of the Egypt International Table Tennis Championship with the participation of 15 countries
The Egypt International Table Tennis Championship for male and female juniors began today, from October 29 to November 1, in Hall No. 2 of the indoor hall complex at Cairo International Stadium.
150 male and female players representing 15 countries are participating in the tournament after the Kazakhstan national team apologized, which is" Antigua and Papriouda, Bangladesh, Cyprus, the Dominican Republic, Jordan, Libya, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Canada, India, America, the Emirates, Austria, and Egypt, the host country.
The Egyptian Table Tennis Federation had announced the appointment of Amr Fahmy, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, as director of the tournament.
The Federation’s Board of Directors also approved the formation of the supreme organizing committee. The tournament will be headed by Ashraf Helmy, and tournament director Amr Fahmy, with Hisham Abu Hashish as rapporteur of the committee.
Within the framework of supporting Egyptian players, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, approved the federation’s request to reduce the participation fees for male and female Egyptian players, to become 2,500 Egyptian pounds instead of 200 US dollars, with the aim of giving them a greater opportunity for international exposure and effective participation in competitions.
The Egypt International Table Tennis Championship has a special place in the tournament. The agenda of the International Federation, which is organized annually in Egypt in recognition of the continued success in hosting international tournaments and commitment to the highest standards of organization and preparation
