Agreement between "Drydocks World" and"Cochin Shipyard" To develop a ship repair complex in Kerala, India

Dubai, October 29 / WAM / Drydocks World, a subsidiary of DP World, and Cochin Shipbuilding Limited, announced the signing of a preliminary terms agreement for the evaluation and development of the first ship repair complex in India within the International Marine Repair Facility in Cochin, Kerala.
The memorandum was signed in the presence of His Excellency Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, and His Excellency Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World Group, between Captain Dr. Radu Antolovic, CEO of Drydocks World, and Madhu S. Nair, Chairman and Managing Director, Cochin Shipbuilding Limited, during the “India Maritime Week 2025” held in Mumbai.
The International Marine Repair Facility features an advanced ship lifting system and modern docking facilities capable of maintaining a wide range of vessels.
Drydocks World will collaborate with Cochin Shipbuilding Company to evaluate and explore potential cooperation models within the ship repair complex system.
This partnership will contribute to supporting the future growth of India’s maritime capabilities and strengthening the country’s position as an emerging hub for global maritime services.
