The Red Sea Cinema reveals the features of its upcoming session programs
Red Sea International Film Festival Details of programs ""and"Series"and"Family cinema"which will be presented within the activities of its fifth session scheduled to be held in "Country" Historic Jeddah during the period from 4 to 13 next December.
The program highlights "Visions of the Red Sea" This year’s spotlight is on an initiative "Women in Cinema: Bring Your Story to Life"which was completed in partnership between the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture and the Netflix platform, with the aim of supporting and empowering Arab female directors from various parts of the region through professional guidance, financial support, and cinematic narrative development workshops.
The initiative resulted in the production of a group of short films that reflect new women’s visions in the Arab film industry.
Diversity of creative experiences
The program also reviews works from international selections that are distinguished by the boldness of vision and the uniqueness of style, dealing with profound human topics from unfamiliar angles, in a way that reflects The diversity of creative experiences that the festival embraces annually, and enhances its presence as a global platform for cinematic dialogue and exchange of experiences between filmmakers from different cultures.
On the other hand, it presents a program "Red Sea series" Premieres of the most prominent international dramatic productions in the Kingdom, as it gives the audience the opportunity to watch a number of television or digital works that combine the pleasure of narrative and the depth of artistic presentation, in an experience that highlights the growing Saudi presence in the global drama scene.
The festival devotes a program "Family cinema" To present a bouquet of inspiring films directed to all family members, celebrating the values of creativity, imagination, friendship, and the power of art in building awareness and strengthening human connections, through stories that combine adventure and learning in an exciting visual framework suitable for different age groups.

The director of the international film program at the festival, Fionnula Halligan, confirmed that the international selections of these programs reflect the rich diversity of projects embraced by the festival, noting that the program "Visions of the Red Sea" This year presents pioneering works that push the boundaries of cinematic narrative towards new horizons, while continuing to support and empower women in the film industry, thus strengthening the festival’s status as an international platform that celebrates creativity and innovation.
The director of the Arab and Classical Film Program, Antoine Khalife, explained that Arab creativity continues to shine with the richness of new voices and the diversity of artistic visions that shape the future of cinema in the region.
He stressed that the Red Sea Festival is proud to highlight these promising energies that blend originality. And innovation, to present vibrant human stories that touch the conscience and enrich the viewers’ experience in the fifth edition of the festival.
