Al-Wahda continues the streak of not losing with a “new victory”.. and deepens the wounds of the “brigadier general”.

Al-Wahda team is now only one victory away from equaling the longest unbeaten streak in its history in the league, amounting to 20 matches, which it achieved between January and December 2014, following its valuable victory this Thursday evening, over its guest Al-Nassr, with a score of 3-2, in an exciting confrontation at Al Nahyan Stadium in the seventh round of the ADNOC Professional Football League, in front of nearly two thousand spectators, including about 50 Nassar fans.
The victory strengthened Al Annabi’s balanced path this season and confirmed its strong presence in the competition race, as it raised its score to 17 points in the lead temporarily until the end of the confrontation with Al Ain, which will shortly be hosting Ajman.
Al-Wahda appeared more mature and stable, after extending its streak of not losing in the league to 19 matches, bringing it a step closer to equaling its historic record achieved nine seasons ago. The team also strengthened its superiority in the records of direct confrontations, raising its score to 18 victories compared to only 4 for Al-Nasr and 11 draws during 33 matches in the professional era.
Al-Anabi also maintained its unbeaten record against Al-Ameed in the last 11 league matches, with a series of five wins and six draws, and this superiority was crowned by its attacking presence as the league’s highest-scoring team in 2025 with 47 goals, two goals behind Al-Ain and Al-Wasl.
On the individual level, Omar Khribin continued to play the role of the decisive leader in these confrontations, raising his tally to 11 scoring contributions in the last 11 matches against Al-Nasr (7 goals and 4 assists), to remain a present name in the intervening moments.
On the other hand, pressure increased on Al-Nasr, whose score froze at eight points, at a time when negative results continued to haunt it after its exit last week from the first round of the President’s Cup against Bani Yas, which makes the next stage more sensitive for the team.
The summit was as expected in terms of excitement and fluctuations. Al-Nasr opened the scoring early through Abdullah Toure from a penalty kick in the 10th minute, before Facundo Daniel equalized the score in the 45th minute + 2 with a precise header.
With the start of the second half, Al-Nasr took the lead again with Moussa Ndiaye’s shot in the 53rd minute, but Al-Wahda came back strong, with the equalizer coming through Khribin from the penalty spot in the 77th minute, before Robin Philippe decided the match with a wonderful left-footed shot from outside the area in the 82nd minute.
