Trump calls for changing Senate rules due to government paralysis

US President Donald Trump called for the abolition of a rule in the Senate requiring a majority of 60 votes to pass legislation, at a time when the United States is still facing government paralysis due to the failure to reach an agreement between Democrats and Republicans in Congress.
Through this call, Trump seeks to get rid of a long-standing rule that allows 41 out of 100 members in The Senate prevents any bill from being discussed or voted on, which is a procedural method that both parties have adopted in the past.
The rule forces… "Disruption" or "Obstructing legislation" (filibuster) Democrats and Republicans to find common solutions.
Ending the government shutdown
The Republican president said in a post on his platform, Truth Social: "It’s time for Republicans to play "Trump paper" And to resort to the so-called nuclear option, and get rid of the obstruction now, get rid of it now"
Trump added: "We are now in power, and if we do what we have to do, the ridiculous lockdown that is destroying the country will end immediately"
The government shutdown began on October 1. It represents the non-payment of salaries to thousands of federal workers and the cessation of basic government functions across the United States.
Many basic government services were affected, air traffic was also disrupted, and some airports witnessed a cessation of work.
