Falaj Al Mualla hosts the fourth round of the Emirates Running Villages 2025 races

The Emirates Council for Balanced Development organized the fourth round of the “Emirates Villages Running” 2025 race series, which is held within the activities of the “Year of Community” under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Council.

The races began today in the Falaj Al Mualla area in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, with the participation of various segments of society, including families, children and people of determination, which embodies the integration of efforts to achieve comprehensive development that puts people at the heart of its priorities.


The race activities included Emirati heritage performances presented by artistic and popular groups that contributed to introducing participants and visitors to the local heritage and highlighting the authentic cultural aspects, in addition to its role in promoting tourism in the areas of Umm Al Quwain and highlighting its natural and heritage components.

The first place winners were crowned and the distinguished participants in various categories were honored in a festive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of unity and national cohesion that characterizes the UAE society.

The coronation was attended by Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and Mohammed Khalifa Bakhit Al Kaabi, Secretary General of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, along with a number of officials from agencies and councils in the country.

The National Agricultural Center participated in the activities accompanying the race through the farmers’ market, where a group of local agricultural products from the Falaj Al-Mualla region were displayed, in addition to a review of modern agricultural and environmental practices.

The center provided visitors and participants with the opportunity to learn about organic and seasonal products, which are an essential pillar in supporting food security and encouraging local agriculture.

Siemens Energy also participated in the events by distributing agricultural seedlings to participants and visitors produced by area farms.

The fourth round of the Emirates Villages Run 2025 races was characterized by its agricultural nature, due to the region’s natural environment that combines mountains, valleys and farms, which gave participants and visitors a distinctive experience that reflects the beauty of Emirati villages and the richness of their environmental and social heritage.

The 2025 “Emirates Villages Running” races constitute an important opportunity to explore the cultural, tourism and social aspects of the Emirati villages within the framework of the Emirates Council’s vision for balanced development, which aims to highlight the elements of development in various regions of the country and enhance the quality of life in local communities.

The race distances varied to suit all groups and included a 1.5 km family race, a 5 km community race, and a 10 km competitive race, which allowed for wide participation from various segments of society.

The organization of the “Emirates Running Villages” races comes as a translation of the vision and directives of the wise leadership to promote balanced development in various regions of the country through community and sports initiatives that contribute to raising the quality of life and encourage the adoption of a healthy lifestyle in a manner that establishes the values ​​of community service, volunteerism, and a culture of shared responsibility.

It is worth noting that the “Emirates Villages Running” races 2025 are organized in partnership with “ADNOC” and in cooperation with sports councils, municipalities and tourism bodies at the state level.
