University College of Bahrain celebrates the graduation of the twenty-first batch of bachelor’s and master’s students

University College of Bahrain celebrated the graduation of the twenty-first batch of bachelor’s and master’s students, in a ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Bahrain, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, along with a number of ambassadors, prominent figures, members of the academic and administrative bodies, and parents of graduates.
The ceremony began with a speech by Professor Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the founding president and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, in which he expressed his pride in the graduates of this distinguished group, during which he extended the highest expressions of thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, for their unlimited support for the education process in Kingdom of Bahrain. He stressed that this high royal support reflects the wise leadership’s belief in the role of education in building humanity and promoting sustainable development.
He also explained that the University College of Bahrain is moving steadily towards achieving its strategic vision that is consistent with the directions of the Higher Education Council aimed at improving the quality of education and improving its efficiency. He pointed out that the university pays great attention to developing its curricula and academic programs in line with the requirements of the local and international labor market, stressing its continuous endeavor to prepare graduates who possess the technical and leadership skills necessary to deal with the challenges of the future.
He also expressed his great pride in the new graduates, praising the academic excellence they have demonstrated and the distinguished achievements that prepare them for their professional careers with confidence and competence. He praised the great efforts made by the academic and administrative bodies in supporting students and providing a distinguished educational experience, stressing the university’s commitment to achieving the highest quality standards and enhancing the competitiveness of its outcomes.
For her part, Dr. Rana Sawaya, President of the University, expressed her pride in the efforts and achievements of the graduates, stressing that this day embodies the fruit of years of hard work and effort to be the best ambassadors for University College of Bahrain in the fields of work and giving. She pointed to the international and local achievements the university has achieved, as the university recently obtained international institutional accreditation and international programmatic accreditation from the British Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for the MBA program and for the institution as a whole, which is a high international achievement that confirms the university’s commitment to providing high-quality education in accordance with the best international standards.
The university is also a member of the British Advance HE Foundation, and most of the faculty members have obtained British fellowship certificates, in recognition of their academic excellence and competence in teaching. The university also recently received a certificate of accreditation as a health-promoting university within the “Healthy Universities” program of the World Health Organization, which aims to promote health and well-being among students and members of the academic and administrative staff, through a healthy and sustainable educational and practical environment.
At the local level, the university was officially listed within the National Institutional Qualifications Framework of the Education and Training Quality Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Communication and Multimedia Program achieved a “trustworthy” rating, while the Information Technology Program received a “Sufficient Progress” rating, according to the Authority’s latest reports to review academic programs.
As part of its continuous endeavor to instill the values of creativity and innovation, the university seeks to provide a stimulating educational environment that encourages scientific research and development. During the current year, the university witnessed remarkable growth in the field of scientific research, as the number of research and research projects doubled compared to last year, which reflects its firm commitment to supporting research initiatives and developing students’ academic and practical skills, and strengthening its position as a leading educational institution in the fields of research and innovation.
This ceremony is the culmination of an academic career full of giving and excellence, during which graduates who embodied an honorable model of discipline, ambition, and determination to succeed were honored, in an atmosphere filled with pride and dignity. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates and taking memorial photos with the participation of the graduates’ families, who expressed their great pride in this distinguished academic achievement.
