Furjan Dubai celebrates UAE Flag Day with the campaign “Our Furjan is Sweeter with Our Flags”

In an atmosphere that reflects the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the nation, the Farjan Dubai Foundation celebrates the UAE Flag Day through community and popular activities based on its strategy aimed at enhancing the values of national identity and community participation, within the campaign “Our Farjan is Sweeter with Our Flags.” This year, it includes distributing 500 Emirati flags to various Dubai festivals, in addition to rehabilitating flags previously raised on the roofs of citizens’ homes to ensure that they remain raised in the best way that expresses pride and belonging.

Furjan Dubai’s interest in commemorating this national occasion comes within the framework of its endeavor to make everyone fly the Emirati flag, as called for by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” in addition to affirming the status of the flag as a symbol of union, sovereignty and national identity, and consolidating its presence in the conscience of new generations as a symbol of pride and belonging.

This initiative also reflects the Foundation’s commitment to its societal role in supporting national events that bring together various segments of society under one banner that expresses the unity of the Emirati home by instilling the meanings of union, solidarity and loyalty to the homeland.

Elham Al-Awadhi, Marketing Director at Furjan Dubai, said: “Flag Day represents a precious national occasion in which the people of the Emirates celebrate with pride the symbol of their unity, and the achievements of the founding fathers in building a unified nation. It also reflects the depth of belonging that brings together the people of the nation and the residents of its land. We at Furjan Dubai are keen to ensure that our celebrations of this day are a reflection of the values of community participation on which the organization is based.”

She added: “This year, we made sure that the activities included distributing flags in various areas of Dubai to decorate the neighborhoods in the colors of the Union as part of the “Our Faraj is Better with Our Flags” initiative, in a way that enhances the spirit of pride among the residents, and turns every faraj into a national painting that exudes love for the Emirates and loyalty to its leadership.”

Elham Al-Awadhi continued: “We also paid special attention to rehabilitating the flags previously standing above homes, emphasizing the importance of preserving the symbol of our country in its most beautiful image, so that the flag remains raised high as the founding fathers wanted, and to remain a witness to the elevation and progress the UAE has achieved.”
