"Chongqing" The day after tomorrow, it will host the Arab-Chinese Radio and Television Forum
CAIRO, 2nd November, 2017 (WAM) – The seventh forum for Arab-Chinese cooperation in the field of radio and television will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, in the Chinese city of Chongqing, in implementation of the media component of the executive program of the Arab-Chinese Forum, in cooperation between the media and communication sector of the League of Arab States, the Chinese National Radio and Television Corporation, and the Arab States Broadcasting Union, with the participation of information ministers and heads of media institutions from Arab countries and China.
Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector of the League of Arab States, confirmed that holding the three-day forum embodies the common will to enhance cooperation in the field of audio-visual media, and explore new horizons for employing technology in developing the media industry and spreading the culture of peace and civilizational understanding between the Arab and Chinese worlds.
Khattabi explained that the session is held under the slogan “Exchange of Arab and Chinese civilizations and audio-visual innovation: common gain,” and includes dialogue sessions, events, and field visits that highlight Chinese experiences in the fields of artificial intelligence and media production, in a way that enhances the exchange of digital and technological experiences between the two sides.
