Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Abdullah revealed the group’s expansion of flights in the region and Europe, receiving five new aircraft this month, in addition to 14 aircraft for next year 2026, noting that Air Arabia flies to Bahrain daily four flights from Sharjah Airport and two flights from Abu Dhabi Airport, in addition to a flight via its hub in Pakistan.
Regarding the third edition of the Bahrain Gateway Forum 2025, Abdullah described the forum as more practical than commercial, as it was able to bring together more than 200 prominent businessmen and investors under one roof, to create promising investment opportunities for Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf region. He said: There are many conferences held in the world, but the Gulf Gateway Forum succeeded in attracting a distinguished elite under one roof to serve the region as a whole.
The CEO of Air Arabia praised what was said by the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, regarding the signing of agreements amounting to $17 billion, stressing that this achievement is considered an honorable matter for us as Bahraini economists, both for the Kingdom and in the Arabian Gulf. He said that Bahrain represents for Air Arabia a good headquarters that is witnessing promising and continuing tourism and economic growth.
In his response to giving advice to airline companies and a special recipe for success, Abdullah said: Every airline company has its own circumstances, and this business carries many difficulties, and there must be “pitfalls” in the business, and airlines are originally a business.
As for Air Arabia, our lifespan is considered short compared to well-established airlines around the world.
Regarding the expansion and new Air Arabia projects, he pointed out that the group received five new aircraft during the current month, which is the last deal for this year, while the group contracted for 14 aircraft for the next year 2026. He said: In the middle of next month we will increase our flights to Europe more, and in Germany we will open a daily flight to Munich, and we added a new flight to the Maldives… and work is continuing.
