Tamkeen supports Havelock One to invest in smart machines and equipment, including robots

The Labor Fund “Tamkeen” announced its support for Havelock One, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the transformation of local institutions in adopting advanced technical solutions within the concepts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

This support aims to help the company develop its production processes by investing in smart machines and equipment that include robots, Internet of Things solutions, and advanced software, with a focus on automation and artificial intelligence, which contributes to raising operational efficiency and improving productivity.

The announcement of this cooperation came on the sidelines of the Gulf Gateway Forum 2025 in its third edition, which the Kingdom is hosting during the period from 2 to 3 November 2025. This support constitutes a turning point towards achieving smart industrial transformation in the Kingdom, as it contributes to consolidating the position of Havelock One as a pioneering company in adopting advanced technologies, and its team includes 80 Bahraini employees in various roles and specializations.

This support is also in line with the Smart Factories Initiative (iFactories) launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the aim of accelerating digital transformation in the industrial sector. This contributes to enhancing the company’s regional expansion by exporting its products to various countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council to cover various projects including hospitality, retail, commercial and residential projects, which reflects its growing role in supporting the national economy.

This cooperation comes in line with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for the year 2025, which are to enhance the position and competitiveness of the Bahraini citizen in the private sector, and provide Bahrainis with the appropriate skills for career development in the private sector, in addition to giving priority to the growth, digitization and sustainability of institutions.

On this occasion, Maha Abdul Hamid Mafeez, CEO of the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, said: “We are proud to support promising Bahraini institutions that seek to adopt advanced technical solutions, as this has a positive impact on their growth, sustainability, and raising their productivity, which in turn is reflected in the creation of quality job opportunities for national cadres.

We believe that integrating the tools and technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is no longer an option today, but rather has become a strategic necessity to ensure the sustainability and growth of local institutions. From this standpoint, Tamkeen’s support comes not only to enhance operational efficiency, but is an essential driver for creating qualitative and specialized job opportunities that suit the company’s aspirations and invests in the capabilities of national cadres, which consolidates the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a regional center for technical innovation.”

For his part, Firas Al-Ayed, Executive Director of Group Operations at Havelock One, said: “We value the continuous support from the Labor Fund “Tamkeen” since 2018, which has played a pivotal role in expanding the scope of our business and entering new markets.

Today, Tamkeen’s support extends to adopting the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which will contribute positively to raising the level of productivity and operational efficiency, in addition to creating quality job opportunities for Bahraini talents in the industrial sector.”
