Dubai Culture launches the 30th edition of "Art map"


DUBAI, 3rd November / WAM / The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, launched the 30th edition of the “Art Map” in cooperation with “The Jam Jar” studio, in a new step that consolidates Dubai’s position as a global center for the creative economy. The new edition provides a comprehensive presentation of the local cultural scene and its vitality and diversity, highlighting art galleries, festivals and major events in Dubai and the Emirates, most notably the 11th edition of Dubai Design Week, which is organized in partnership with Dubai Design District and with the support of Dubai Culture from November 4 to 9, in addition to the reopening of the Tashkeel Center with its unique art exhibitions, and the launch of the first edition of the Dubai Youth Performing Arts Festival. Which brings together diverse experiences in theatre, music and folk arts. The publication highlights the importance of the 27th General Conference of the International Council of Museums, “ICOM Dubai 2025,” which Dubai is hosting for the first time in the region from November 11 to 17 under the slogan “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Societies,” and includes dialogues with Manal Ataya, Director General of the Sharjah Museums Department, and architect Adeeb Dada, about the impact of the event in enhancing the future of museums and the sustainability of cultural heritage. The “Art Map” highlights a number of the most prominent artists and curators in the Emirates and the region, including Lucas Morin from Jameel Arts Centre, Emirati artist Sarah Al Khayal, international artist Issam Karajeh, and artists Azza Al Dhaheri and Aya Judaran.
The issue also addresses the achievements of prestigious art institutions such as the “Green Art” exhibitions, the “1×1 Art Gallery” and Christie’s Dubai. The issue’s technical supplement includes a special topic on sustainability in public arts and green spaces, reflecting Dubai Culture’s commitment to integrating creativity with sustainable development.
