“White Juniors” tied with Costa Rica in the Qatar World Cup

The UAE junior national team tied with Costa Rica 1-1, yesterday, in the first round of Group C in the U-17 World Cup finals (Qatar 2025).

“White Juniors” took the lead with a beautiful goal, scored by Mayed Adel with a perfect header, in the 59th minute after a corner kick taken by Faisal Mohammed, before the Costa Rica national team quickly equalized in the 62nd minute after taking advantage of a mistake by goalkeeper Jassim Al Hammadi.

The match witnessed an early expulsion of Costa Rica defender, Ishaq Abdullah, in the 31st minute, after he explicitly obstructed the UAE national team striker alone. Our team will play its second match against Croatia, the day after tomorrow, before concluding its campaign in the group stage by facing Senegal on November 9.
