The 65th aid convoy enters the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip

Humanitarian aid trucks began moving through the sub-gate of Rafah land port towards the Kerem Shalom and Al-Auja crossings. In preparation for its introduction to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as part of the ongoing Egyptian efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis for the residents of the Strip, which is experienced by more than two million Palestinians.
An official source in the Rafah land port stated on Tuesday that the trucks are part of the 65th convoy of “Zad Al-Izza… from Egypt to Gaza.” It carries food and relief supplies on board, including food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, preserved foods, medicines, personal care supplies, tents, and petroleum supplies. He pointed out that the trucks are subject to inspection by the occupation authorities at the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southeast of the Gaza Strip before they are brought into the Palestinians.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present as a national mechanism for coordinating and distributing aid to the Gaza Strip since The crisis began in October 2023. The Rafah land port was not closed permanently during that period, and it continues its alertness in all logistical centers and its continuous efforts to bring in aid through 35 thousand volunteers.
The Israeli occupation forces had closed the ports linking the Gaza Strip since last March 2, after the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the failure to reach it. For an agreement to stabilize the ceasefire, the truce was violated by a violent air strike on March 18, and it re-invaded by land into various areas in the Gaza Strip from which it had withdrawn. The occupation authorities also prevented the entry of humanitarian aid trucks, fuel, and shelter supplies for the displaced who lost their homes due to the war on Gaza. It refused to bring the heavy equipment needed to remove rubble and reconstruction into the Gaza Strip. The introduction of aid into Gaza was resumed last May according to a mechanism implemented by the occupation authorities and an American security company, despite the refusal of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) for violating the established international mechanism in this regard.

The mediators (Egypt, Qatar, and the United States) continued to make efforts to announce a comprehensive ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and exchange prisoners and detainees, until an agreement was reached at dawn on October 9, 2025. Between the Hamas movement and Israel regarding the first phase of the ceasefire agreement according to the plan of US President Donald Trump in Sharm El-Sheikh, with Egyptian-American-Qatari mediation and Turkish efforts.
